Financial Independence

At 1776 CMG, we focus on creating financial independence for our clients by emphasizing people and processes.

At 1776 CMG, we focus on creating financial independence for our clients by emphasizing people and processes. I was a history major in college, but was always fascinated by the financial markets and followed them closely. My goal was to hone my people skills, and then go to a firm that offered the best training program – which I did upon college graduation.

I co-founded 1776 Capital Management Group in 2009 when we moved our practice to Janney Montgomery Scott.

Our clients have been the heart of our firm since I started in 1992, and some of our clients have been with us since then. Our goal is to create long-lasting relationships by always putting our clients’ interests first, and anticipating their needs.

One of the benefits of having a well-established practice is that we can be selective about who we choose to work with. We are extremely discerning when it comes to bringing in new clients. So we make sure there is a “fit.” By having a very open and candid conversation, we can mutually decide if we can help our prospective clients in a meaningful way.

In addition to our clients, the people who work for 1776 CMG make it what it is. We have had many talented people work for 1776 CMG over the years, and I truly believe our team has never been stronger or better diversified than it is today.

This has even translated into hiring interns; something I have done since my first summer in “the business.” We now get over 100 applications each summer for internships. In 2020, we hired our first Villanova student and we could not be happier with the contributions she made.

We hope to keep getting better, which is why all of us are committed to reading and learning each and every day. -- Dan Levin, Financial Advisor
