About John

For more than 25 years, I've been helping individuals, families, retirement plans, and associations make informed financial decisions with confidence. My goal is to simplify complex financial matters and create a clear roadmap that helps clients prepare for retirement and achieve long-term financial independence. Every recommendation I make is guided by a simple philosophy: the right thing to do is always the right answer.

I earned bachelor's degrees in Economics and Government from the College of William & Mary and hold securities, health, life, and annuity insurance licenses. I am also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Throughout my career, I've developed specialized expertise in advising company retirement plans and managing association assets. This experience has given me a unique perspective on retirement readiness, allowing me to help clients at every stage of their financial journey—from individuals just beginning to save to executives preparing to transition into retirement.

I joined Janney because of its longstanding commitment to putting clients first. As an independent-minded firm with a rich history, Janney provides me with the flexibility to act in my clients' best interests and deliver advice tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.

Many of the clients I work with are transitioning from accumulating wealth to relying on it in retirement. I help them align their financial resources with their long-term goals by developing tax-efficient strategies, creating sustainable retirement income plans, and ensuring their assets are positioned to support the lifestyle they've worked hard to build. Whether I'm working with a family, a retirement plan, or an association, every financial plan is personalized to meet that client's specific needs.

My clients appreciate straightforward advice, practical strategies, and proactive communication. They know they'll hear from me not only during scheduled reviews, but whenever changing markets or important life events create new planning opportunities. I enjoy helping people gain confidence in their financial future and the peace of mind that comes from having a thoughtful, disciplined financial plan.
