Scott serves as Executive Vice President – Wealth Management Complex Director of the Columbus, OH office. He leads Buckeye Capital Advisors with a focus toward building retirement income distribution plans by way of our five-step financial planning process and investing retirement assets. Scott helps clients and their families toward achieving their goals through custom-designed portfolios.
Scott is a Certified Estate Planner™ (CEP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®), focusing on retirement, estate and wealth transfer planning, tax-efficient investment solutions, investment strategies, life insurance, and annuity reviews. Scott and his team help clients develop sound investment strategies that are designed to build and maintain wealth through personalized, holistic financial planning. Scott is Series 7, 9, 10, 31, and 66 registered and holds insurance licenses in life, health, and fixed and variable annuities.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He also attended the Regent’s University in London, England, where his studies included marketing and management.
Scott lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio with his wife Sophia Corna, daughter Eliza, and sons Ethan and Rocky. Scott enjoys traveling, hiking, tennis, hunting, shooting sporting clays, snow skiing and spending time with his family and friends. Scott believes strongly in giving back to the community and as such is a board member on the central Ohio leadership board of the Arthritis Foundation.
Shelly helps Buckeye Capital Advisors maintain the high level of service the team provides to clients in order to exceed expectations. Over 20 years in the business has granted Shelly with a wealth of knowledge that makes the client's experience informative, relaxed, and fun. She provides timely, accurate and meaningful answers to our clients’ questions and makes sure their needs are always her first priority. In addition, Shelly is also responsible for maintaining a high standard of compliance in all aspects of the business.
Shelly began her financial career in 2002 after earning a bachelor degree in Business from Muskingum College. She holds the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM designation and is Series 7, 9, 10, and 66 registered and holds insurance licenses in life, health, and fixed and variable annuities.
Shelly lives in Clintonville with her partner, Erica, and dog Rizzo. She always seeks out opportunities to have fun and spend quality time with her friends and family. She enjoys golfing, kayaking, and walking Rizzo in the various Columbus metro parks. She attends the games of local teams such as the Clippers, Crew, and Blue Jackets and is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
As holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, Mike Brown is well-versed in the fundamentals of investment tools, valuing assets, portfolio management, and wealth planning. Mike prides himself on tailoring strategies that help to meet each client’s unique needs and is passionate about educating his clients throughout the process.
Prior to joining Janney in 2023, Mike spent a decade with PNC Bank, starting his career in 2013 with PNC Private Bank/Wealth Management in Louisville, KY, then moving back home to Columbus in 2017 to PNC Investments, where he served as Financial Advisor.
Mike is an alumnus of North Carolina’s prestigious Davidson College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Mike also holds his Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as annuity and life insurance licenses in Ohio.
Outside of the office, Mike is an avid soccer fan. He has been a loyal season ticket member of the Columbus Crew, Major League Soccer’s first professional soccer team, having also played for and traveled internationally with their youth soccer team. When he’s not attending games, Mike enjoys staying active through sports, exercise, and hikes with his shitzhu-yorkie mix dog, Dexter. In his spare time, Mike also enjoys volunteering to deliver food for the nonprofit organization, Meals on Wheels.
Coleman received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Ohio State University in 2018 and then went on to obtain his Master of Financial Economics at Ohio University in 2019. His areas of study were in financial analysis, applied economics, and data analytics. He has since held positions in client services, financial planning, and financial analysis where he gained his SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 in 2021. Coleman then obtained his Series 65, along with insurance licenses in life and health, CLTC® and AWMA®.
Before Janney, he worked in financial planning and financial / economic research to create portfolios, investment policy statements (IPS), and risk analysis reports to better assist clientele reach their financial goals. As a Registered Private Client Associate with Buckeye Capital Advisors, Coleman's extensive experience in finance will be utilized in helping individuals and families reach their financial goals through creating tailored all-encompassing comprehensive financial plans. These financial plans are crucial to being a well-rounded investor and achieving one's financial goals.
But it isn't all business all the time, when Coleman is not working, he spends his time outside, camping, hiking, and biking throughout Ohio, as well as visiting friends and family around the country.

Dan Wantrobski is Director of Research at Janney Montgomery Scott and has over 20 years of industry experience as a technical analyst and strategist.
Mr. Wantrobski spent the first 10 years of his career at Paine Webber and UBS, where he developed his knowledge as a technician and macro strategist following the equity, fixed income, commodity, and currency markets. He has also spent time at Fox Pitt Kelton, Bedford Quantitative, and New Albion Partners. From 2008 to 2016, Mr. Wantrobski served as Janney’s technical strategist.
Mr. Wantrobski regularly comments in the media on key issues arising in the industry, with appearances in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, The Philadelphia Inquirer, CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg TV. He is also a frequent speaker at financial industry conferences, including the Ernst & Young Annual Firm Conference where he has served as a guest speaker for the last five years.
Mr. Wantrobski is a Chartered Market Technician ® (CMT) and attended Villanova University, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Finance.
He currently resides in Moorestown, NJ where he volunteers as a firefighter with Relief Engine Co. 312.
Guy LeBas is Janney’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist, as well as Head of Fixed Income for Janney Capital Management. As Strategist, he is responsible for providing direction to the Firm’s clients on the macroeconomic, interest rate, and bond market investing climate.
Guy authors bond market periodicals, which provide relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum. With Janney Capital Management, Guy is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s discretionarily managed bond portfolios, which take a client-tailored approach to generating consistent income across interest rate environments.
Guy joined Janney in 2006. Prior to joining Janney, Guy served as Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on $20 billion of bank assets and derivatives.
Guy is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, as well as a regular speaker at financial industry conferences. He received his education from Swarthmore College, holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Kathleen is a Vice President and Senior Financial Planner in Janney’s Wealth Planning Department. She supports Janney’s Western regional offices and is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Kathleen provides comprehensive solutions designed to effectively address complex issues to help high net worth clients, business owners, corporate executives, and others meet their goals and objectives. She assists Janney’s Financial Advisors by providing subject matter expertise to analyze a wide variety of issues including estate, trust, and wealth transfer planning, asset protection, retirement, income tax, and charitable planning strategies.
Professional Experience
Kathleen has extensive experience in estate, fiduciary, and individual income tax planning for high net worth clients. Prior to joining Janney, she spent over 20 years serving as a senior wealth planning strategist at large national wealth management institutions including The Bank of New York Mellon and PNC Private Bank. Kathleen began her financial counselling career with The Ayco Company LP (now part of Goldman Sachs). She received her Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation and served as fiduciary research specialist for Fi360 where she developed fiduciary educational programs for AIF® designees, CFPs, and other financial advisors.
Personal Background
Kathleen received her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University’s School of Law and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration also from Duquesne University. She is certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Kathleen has been a frequent speaker at seminars on various financial and estate planning topics. She published several articles for Kiplinger’s Wealth Creation column and has been quoted in Barron’s, Think Advisor, and other industry publications. Kathleen is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Mark Luschini is the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the Firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies that align with the best interest, goals, and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the Firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning.
As Chief Investment Strategist, Mark serves as the Janney's investment spokesperson, offering national market commentary and developing asset allocation models and investment strategies. He chairs the investment committee and actively interfaces with both current and prospective clients.
Additionally, Mark directs Janney Capital Management, the Firm’s discretionary investment management division. Under his leadership, Janney Capital Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to more than $4 billion, with nearly $3 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and over $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded solutions and mutual funds. Mark served on the Board of Managers for Janney, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Firm’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan. He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees.
In Janney Capital Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies under its advisory. Mark has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and investment management at seminars and conferences.
His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to the New York Times, USA Today, Financial Times, and Money magazine. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, Fox Business News, and CNN.
He has a BA and MBA from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association
Shurdonna serves as Vice President and the Director of Janney's High Net Worth Consulting Group. She provides comprehensive solutions designed to effectively address complex issues to help high net worth individuals and families, business owners, corporate executives, professional athletes, and others meet their goals and objectives.
Most recently, Shurdonna served as Assistant Vice President & Senior Financial Planner, supporting the advanced financial planning efforts for the Firm's Mid-Atlantic region. She also supported Janney’s clients in achieving their financial goals, provided subject matter expertise, and coached Janney's Financial Advisors and their clients through all aspects of financial planning. Together, they formulate comprehensive financial plans outlining estate, trust, and wealth transfer planning, asset protection, retirement, income tax, and charitable planning strategies.
Shurdonna has more than 15 years of progressive experience in the investment management industry. Previously, Shurdonna was a Financial Advisor in Vanguard Personal Advisor Services®, where she provided investment guidance and financial planning services to clients with significant wealth. Shurdonna also served in Vanguard’s Education Savings Group, focusing on 529 plans and college-savings strategies. While at Vanguard, Shurdonna had the opportunity to rotate through several of the firm's departments, including Retirement Plan Services, International, and Retail Investor Group, as part of its Accelerated Leadership Development Program.
Shurdonna earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM designation and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Temple University Beasley School of Law and has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Morgan State University Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management.
Shurdonna is an active leader in her region's nonprofit community. She is a board member and a member of the finance, DEI, and strategic planning committees of Philadelphia's Magic Gardens mosaic art environment. She’s also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, an international service organization.
