About Theodore
For over 30 years Ted has developed his practice serving several generations of families and working with their companies in various capacities. In fact, Ted and his team provide recommendations on investments, retirement and estate planning, insurance, and long-term care. Over the course of his career Ted has developed and maintained a client service philosophy focused on making himself available to his clients for consultation, and continuing his education on a regular basis. 

In 1984, Ted was attracted to Janney Montgomery Scott due to the firm’s excellent reputation.  It was his first venture into the financial services industry and he has since remained with Janney. Ted attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and currently holds his FINRA Series 7, 15, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as his Life, Accident & Health, and Variable Life & Annuity Insurance License. He also possesses Chartered Long-Term Care (CLTC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®), and earned the AWMA® designation through a joint education venture between Janney and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. 

Ted and Connie, his wife of over 25 years, have homes in both St. James, New York, and Portland, Oregon. Ted enjoys golf, skiing, and being an outdoorsman. He is also an enthusiastic musician, playing the piano and guitar. Ted is very active working with the Lutheran community in and around St. James, and is involved with various charities, like Habitat for Humanity.

About Carolyn
Upon joining the Firm in 1987, Carolyn built a strong practice serving the investment needs of her clients. Using Janney's entrepreneurial platform, she is able to make recommendations that are in line with individual client needs and goals. More than 30 years later, she still thrives on the dynamics of the financial services industry.

Carolyn holds her FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Variable and Fixed Annuity products. She has a BA from Connecticut College and attended the Graduate school at Columbia University in New York.

Carolyn has extensive experience advising local and state governments in state statutes, investment policy guidelines, fiduciary requirements, tactical and strategic opportunities, Defined Benefit Plans, Defined Contribution Plans, OPEB Trusts, and cash management analysis.

About Arthur

For more than three decades, Arthur Falkowitz has assisted and guided his clients to accumulate wealth, plan for life’s necessities, and managed portfolios through all stages of their lives.   

 

Through good and difficult markets, Arthur built upon his over 30 years of experience to better serve high net worth individuals, families and companies. It was in 2010 that Arthur attended the Wharton led program to attain his Accredited Wealth Managed Advisor designation, which is issued by the College of Financial Planning. The financial planning approach has become central to his process.

 

Arthur started his career in finance in 1987 at a municipal bond house, moving in 1994 to a full-service, national firm with a corporate ethos of always putting the client first. When things changed and it became necessary to find a new firm, Janney was a perfect fit following the same business practice of putting clients first.

 

Prior to working in financial services, Arthur enjoyed gaining worldly experience as a freelance photographer working for major international airlines and travel organizations. In his travels, his work took him extensively all over Europe, Asia, and North America. Arthur received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester where he studied political science and economics.

 

Arthur and his wife Michele live on the north shore of Long Island. His son Max is an award-winning writer, specializing in the food industry, and daughter Madeleine is an accomplished equestrian currently studying at University. When not on the ski slopes, Arthur supports the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Doctors Without Borders, the Southern Poverty Law Center and Heifer International.

About Jeffrey

Jeffrey has been with Janney since 2004, and partnered to form Colony Wealth Advisors in 2017. Going forward, Jeffrey will serve the team’s mission of multi-generational planning by providing comprehensive wealth management services to clients.  

Jeff began his career at Janney’s headquarters in Philadelphia, and moved to Garden City in 2009 to create a new role as a regional wealth strategist. While there, he was a go-to resource for planning issues ranging from tax, estate planning, stock options, and social security. Jeffrey was part of a dedicated team who vetted and selected the financial planning software for the entire firm in early 2017. 

While working as a wealth strategist, Jeffrey attended St. Johns Law School and graduated with his Juris Doctor (JD) in 2017. He received his BBA degree in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University in 2004. Jeffrey obtained his designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2008 through the College for Financial Planning and holds his FINRA Series 7, 66 and Life & Health licenses. He is currently an active member of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business alumni association, enjoys spending time with his wife Jamie, three sons and daughter, and activities such as hockey and golf.

We are grateful to Frank O’Meara, who helped lay the foundation of our practice which became Colony Wealth Advisors. In fact, Frank suggested the name Colony as a way to honor his brother Ben (see here for more). 

Frank entered the financial services industry over 40 years ago, and joined Janney in 1978 as the first branch manager of our Darien, Connecticut office. For more than four decades, he passionately worked with clients to identify and achieve their long-term financial goals. As Colony grew into one of Janney’s leading teams of investment professionals, Frank instilled a client-first philosophy coupled with prudent investment principles. These principles continue to guide our team today, and we thank him for his stewardship and leadership.

Debra S. Roey joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in November 2006, as Janney Retirement Plan Services (JRPS) Manager. JRPS was founded in 1982 to provide Janney’s Corporate Retirement Plan Clients with support in plan design analysis, proposal procurement and review, investment fiduciary services, technical expertise, and problem resolution.

 

Debra has over 30 years of experience in the Retirement Plan arena. Prior to joining Janney, she served as Regional Director with Union Central Life Retirement and Investment Services. During her tenure, she received numerous sales awards including qualification for the company’s highest society membership. She also served on several corporate committees involved with Strategic Planning and Product Development.

 

Debra earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Rutgers University.

Greg Drahuschak joined Janney in 1991. He has over 45 years of economic experience and provides daily, weekly, and monthly market commentary, with a particular focus on the equity market, to Janney and our clients.

 

Prior to joining Janney, he worked as a retail broker with—and eventually transitioned into the research departments of—Butcher & Singer and Wheat First Securities. He was also an instructor at Robert Morris College and the University of Pittsburgh.

 

Greg has written articles for several newspapers and websites, and has been the featured financial professional on many live radio broadcasts. 

 

He earned his B.A. in fine arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as certificates from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and from the New York Institute of Finance.

About Guy

Guy LeBas is Janney’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist, as well as Head of Fixed Income for Janney Capital Management. As Strategist, he is responsible for providing direction to the Firm’s clients on the macroeconomic, interest rate, and bond market investing climate.

 

Guy authors bond market periodicals, which provide relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum. With Janney Capital Management, Guy is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s discretionarily managed bond portfolios, which take a client-tailored approach to generating consistent income across interest rate environments.

 

Guy joined Janney in 2006. Prior to joining Janney, Guy served as Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on $20 billion of bank assets and derivatives.

 

Guy is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, as well as a regular speaker at financial industry conferences. He received his education from Swarthmore College, holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Jack Cintorino, based out of the Alexandria, VA branch, provides assistance and support in many aspects of financial planning to Janney’s Financial Advisors and their clients. Prior to joining Janney, Jack was employed at AXA since October 2012 as Director / Lead Manager and Senior Case Design Consultant focusing on Estate and Charitable Planning. He holds a BA degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, and Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Touro College School of Law.

 

Jack has been a featured guest on a cable television investment program, has had several articles published within the industry, and has been a guest speaker at numerous industry and public seminars.

About Kim

Kim Beil serves as Director of the Managed and Insured Solutions Group in Janney Montgomery Scott’s Wealth Management department. In this role, Ms. Beil oversees the daily activities of the Managed and Insured Solutions Group and is responsible for promoting both advisory and insured solutions for the firm.

 

Ms. Beil is an active member of the Firm, the industry, and is involved in several community organizations. At Janney, she is a member of the Firm’s Women’s Interactive Network (WIN). She is also a founding member for Girls on the Run Philadelphia, a non-profit program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Currently, she volunteers with the Neucrue Cancer Foundation.

 

A graduate of Drexel University, Mrs. Beil holds a B.S. in business administration, and has over 15 years of financial services industry experience at Janney. She is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ (AWMA®), holds an insurance license, and is a LEADERSHIP Philadelphia Fellow.

 

In her spare time, Ms. Beil enjoys running and challenging herself in half marathons.

About Mark

Mark Luschini is the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the Firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies that align with the best interest, goals, and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the Firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning.

 

As Chief Investment Strategist, Mark serves as the Janney's investment spokesperson, offering national market commentary and developing asset allocation models and investment strategies. He chairs the investment committee and actively interfaces with both current and prospective clients.

 

Additionally, Mark directs Janney Capital Management, the Firm’s discretionary investment management division. Under his leadership, Janney Capital Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to more than $4 billion, with nearly $3 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and over $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded solutions and mutual funds. Mark served on the Board of Managers for Janney, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Firm’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan. He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees.

 

In Janney Capital Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies under its advisory. Mark has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and investment management at seminars and conferences.

 

His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to the New York Times, USA Today, Financial Times, and Money magazine. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, Fox Business News, and CNN.

 

He has a BA and MBA from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association
