Executive Vice President/Wealth Management, Financial Advisor
About Greg
At the age of 10, Greg found himself terrified with the unexpected death of his father and a mother faced with ‘I don’t know how we are going to make it.’ At an early age, Greg realized the one thing that money does really well: “it provides security”. Grounded in the passion of helping others, achieving and retaining financial freedom, and the confidence it brings is at the core of his practice. Greg has spent a lifetime honing his skills in the area of finance, economics and the pursuit and retention of that security he discovered the value of at such an early age.

Greg studied accounting at Anderson University, finance at the Moore School at the University of South Carolina, received his post graduate degree in management from Clemson University and earned his certification as an investment management analyst from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Greg analyzes client needs and follows through with the details that help create comprehensive, effective financial plans. He is a registered investment advisor representative, a registered principal in the securities industry, and has earned certification as both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Investment Management Analyst℠ professional.

He started his career 1981 as a financial analyst at San Francisco-based Guy F. Atkinson Co., where his focus was on analyzing field operations, developing cost-savings strategies and implementing those ideas. He ventured into entrepreneurship in 1985, successfully opening and managing a real estate investment company. Then, in 1994, Greg made a decision to refine his life’s work to an area that had always fascinated him – personal finance.

Greg pursued and was recruited to participate in a pilot program with one of Wall Street’s largest firms. The goal of the program was to develop advisors who could add a dimension to field offices that had only been available through “boutique” offices for the very wealthy. He spent three years being mentored by money managers, tax and estate planning attorneys, risk managers, and relationship experts to increase his expertise of managing personal wealth. Currently, Greg utilizes his knowledge and experience to help high-net-worth clients manage all the facets of personal wealth utilizing a highly structured process within a goals-driven platform.

Currently, Greg is a member and past board member of the Gold Coast Financial Planning Association, a member of the national Financial Planning Association, a member in good standing with the Financial Planning Board of Standards and a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. He is also a past board member of The Ambassadors of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation and the endowment committee for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

He enjoys spending his spare time pursuing his passions for fitness, photography, building furniture, traveling and fly fishing. He is a proud father of two daughters, Connie and Beth, and finds joy in being Papa to his grandson, Felix Gregory.
