We truly enjoyed participating in this event supporting the Visiting Nurse Association, an organization that provides so much to the health of people in our community.
Proceeds from the event directly benefited the Visiting Nurse Foundation (VNF). The VNF helps patients that are enduring difficult circumstances. They handle, among others, covering the cost of expensive medications, assisting with utility bills, and constructing medically necessary handicap-accessible home modifications. In addition to helping our own patients in need, the VNF also funds the Florence Nightingale Express, which is a 38-foot mobile medical clinic that travels throughout our multi-county service areas providing free healthcare to uninsured and homeless individuals in our community. Each year the Foundation also awards college scholarships to local high school seniors pursuing careers in nursing.
The VNA of Florida is a non-profit, Medicare certified, home health agency. The VNA provides a wide spectrum of senior care aimed to keep our patients and clients healthy and independent.
