Our Team
David DeGraff has a long and established history of providing his clients with personalized investment strategies for their diverse financial needs. Currently, David serves as Senior Vice President/Investments in the Hauppauge, NY, office of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, one of the nation’s oldest and largest, full-service, regional financial services firms.
Dave earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Syracuse University in 1986. After working for several years with two money management firms in Boston, he joined Janney in 1991 for the opportunity to work alongside his father, David DeGraff Sr. For 14 years, David gained invaluable experience working with his father—a successful and well-respected Financial Consultant who spent nearly 50 years in the industry before retiring in 2004—and it was under his guidance that David realized the founding principles of his practice.
David is dedicated to working with his clients and their families to meet their specific investment needs and guide them through the investment process. Supported by the expert team in Janney’s Philadelphia-based Wealth Management division, he offers his clients comprehensive wealth management and financial planning services. His primary business focus is to carefully establish a solid, diverse and well-balanced financial plan that can help move his clients toward their short- and long-term financial objectives, goals and dreams. Service is paramount; and David makes a commitment to providing his clients with the highest levels or respect, honesty and integrity, truly listening to understand all their financial needs and wants.
In 2006, David has completed the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ program, a Wealth Management Certification Program offered by the Firm’s internal educational division, Janney University, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and now holds the AWMA® designation. He is also an Investment Advisor Representative.
