I recently volunteered for the JA in a Day program at St. Edward the Confessor in Syosset, NY where I worked with 8th graders on the JA It’s My Future unit. The students explored personal brand development, job outlook considerations, career mapping, job-hunting skills along with work ethic and professionalism. The goal of the program is to have middle school students explore potential careers and an understanding of the relationship between what they learn in school and their successful participation in a global economy.
