This was my 15th year of participating in this great event by swimming 1 mile in the Long Island Sound to raise funds for cancer research. For the past 10 years I have been a member of Team Stacey, formed in memory of Stacey Leondis, a Garden City girl who passed at the age of 23 after a 5 year battle with osteosarcoma. Collectively, Team Stacey raised $250,894 of the total $481,592 raised at the event in 2021.
