Ken Souser

Ken Souser, a Certified Retirement Counselor®, brings a wealth of insight and knowledge to his role as Vice President/Investments with Janney Montgomery Scott in Syracuse. With over 25 years of experience, Ken’s diverse background and training enable him to help clients pursue their long-term financial goals through comprehensive, individualized financial planning. His attention to detail, good listening skills and great empathy are all hallmarks of the relationship he has with his clients.

In addition to conventional IRA, QDRO and 401(k) rollovers, Ken has spent many years working closely with university professors providing education and assistance to the unique 403(b) offered by their respective universities.

While working closely with his clients' attorneys and CPAs, Ken is effectively supported by a diverse team of wealth management professionals and investment strategists working out of Janney’s home office in Philadelphia, to successfully build long-term relationships with his growing client base. This allows Ken to provide the excellent customer service and the highly specialized financial management you would expect and deserve.

As a dedicated professional and fiduciary, Ken holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as state life and health insurance licenses. In addition, Ken has earned his Certified Retirement Counselor® designation and is authorized by the state of New York to offer his clients New York’s Partnership for Long Term Care Insurance.

Outside of the office, Ken spends time with his wife Carolyn and their two young boys. An alumnus of Syracuse University, Ken has served his community as past president of the Kiwanis Club of DeWitt, Past Treasurer of the Rotary Club of DeWitt, Pack Leader for Cub Scout Pack 165 and has served on several boards including, OnPoint For College, Rotary Club of DeWitt and the Prevention Network.
