About Matthew

Matthew and his wife, Kelly, are proud parents to two sons, Micah and Caleb. Their family resides in the Cotswold area of Charlotte.


With a career in the financial services industry that began in 1998, Matthew brings over two decades of experience to his role. Before joining Janney in 2006, he held positions at New York Life, Central Carolina Bank, Wachovia, and Bank of America’s Private Bank, where he gained extensive knowledge across a wide range of financial disciplines.


A graduate of Elon College, Matthew holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation, along with FINRA Series 7, 63, Insurance and Long-Term Care licenses. He is committed to offering clients a disciplined, structured approach to financial planning and investment management.


Matthew’s dedication and expertise have been recognized recently with his inclusion in the 2025 and 2026 Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors and AdvisorHub’s 100 Solo Advisors to Watch.

Matthew is actively involved in his community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Camp Rockmont. He served on the Charlotte Economics Club Board from 2023 - 2026. He is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum (Class XVI). From 2012 to 2016, he served on the Board of the Matthews HELP Center, acting as Board Chair in 2015.


Outside of work, Matthew enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time in the mountains with his family whenever possible.

About Erin

Erin got her start in the Financial Services industry right out of college, falling in love after her first Finance class. She has over 22 years of experience, in positions ranging from client service, to management, to back office of operations and compliance, which provides her with a well-rounded array of competencies that serve clients well. 


Erin has a degree in Finance from UNC-Charlotte where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Business. In her junior year, she was the recipient of the Glenn Whaley Memorial Scholarship for finance, an accolade she is still honored to have received. 


She and her husband, Adrian, live in a suburb south of Charlotte with their young daughter, Alora. In addition to spending time with family and their two dogs, she also enjoys watching movies and TV, reading (and listening to) fiction, and crafting.
