Angel Flight is a non-profit medical transport organization that flies children and adults who require medical help. One of our clients, Sam Nelson, has volunteered with Angel Flight as a pilot for around 10 years. He flies a M20K Mooney plane, which has a turbo charged engine that can fit up to 4 people. Most of his flights are around 500 miles round trip. However, his longest trip was around 1,000 miles! In one of his trips he went from Middletown, Ohio to Huntsville, Alabama. Then he returned back to Columbus, Ohio, where he dropped the patient off. He enjoys helping families in need with the organizations opportunity that was given to him. Sam has been a licensed pilot since the age of 16 and has flown for more than 4,000 hours.
