Our Team

Jim can advise clients on a wide range of financial matters including specific investment services, overall asset allocation and coordination, retirement planning, education funding, inter-generational financial planning, and life insurance. By using the right mix of investment recommendations to build their portfolio, Jim helps his clients bridge the gap between where they are now in their lives and where they ultimately want to be. He also believes education is the cornerstone for successful client relationships. The start of this relationship begins with Jim listening to his clients’ “life values” and he helps to explain ways in which they may achieve their desired goals. This plan becomes the “road map”. The long-term process includes one-on-one meetings, periodic portfolio reviews, workshops and seminars. He also helps clients plan financial equitable divorce settlements by assisting with investment valuations, spousal benefit analysis, and retirement income projections during the divorce process. Jim’s career began with Nissan Motor Corporation where he served as a Financial Field Consultant. A few years later he decided to obtain his Real Estate and Mortgage Broker’s licenses and subsequently worked for a mortgage broker and real estate developer while studying capital markets and world economics. After becoming a registered representative in the financial industry, he became a Financial Advisor for a regional brokerage firm before joining Janney. Jim has continued his professional education by obtaining the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ designation from The Wharton School of Business. His professional knowledge extends into the community. Jim had been an investment instructor with the Duval County Schools in the “Continuing Education” division. He also has been an adjunct professor at Jacksonville University, University of North Florida and most recently, FCCJ. He has taught classes to CPAs and attorneys for continuing education credits. He has also been a guest lecturer at Barnes and Noble, has a number of publishing credits. He has been a financial speaker for the local NBC and FOX news affiliates. In 1996, I was given the opportunity to work at Prudential Securities. I was excited to work in a field that I had a fascination with and would foster my core need to help people. I worked there for 6 years and obtained my series 7 and 63 licenses. Although at the time it was rare for an assistant to have their licenses, I knew it would allow me to be able to work more closely with clients. I worked briefly at Morgan Stanley before the opportunity to join Janney opened. The firm had a wonderful reputation of helping clients achieve their goals and I especially liked the fact that Janney is one of the oldest firms on Wall Street and privately held. I was excited to further my career with this firm and it was a bonus to be able to work side by side with Jim and have him as a mentor. I started working at Janney in March of 2006, obtained my 65 license in 2019 and haven’t looked back.
I am motivated and committed to maintain an open mind, clear communication, the ability to be flexible and adaptable in our ever-changing industry. With the mindset to learn, grow and strive for excellence. I take pride in my ability to find common ground and listen attentively. I value our client’s and am dedicated to their best interest. I take pride in my unwavering determination to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service that exceeds their expectations.
I am native of Jacksonville, FL, a foodie that loves to spend time with my family, going to the beach, gardening, being artistically creative and roller skating.
