PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Clare Schwemlein-Brownfield is a Financial Advisor in the Chillicothe Office of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC with over 20 years of experience in providing financial advice to both individual and institutional clients on a broad range of investment areas such as financial, retirement, insurance and education planning, mutual funds, equities, tax-free and taxable bonds, annuities, trust services, money management and employer-sponsored retirement plans. Clare helps her clients develop individualized investment solutions for each client’s unique situation and goals.
Prior to her role as Financial Advisor, Clare was the Retirement Benefits Manager at BMO Harris Bank in Milwaukee, WI. Clare was responsible for the corporation’s 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, Pension and Profit Sharing Plans. She was promoted to Officer of the bank. Clare began her career at Third Federal Savings and Loan in Cleveland and later at Strong Financial Corporation in Wisconsin. At both firms, she was responsible for all employee benefits programs. She was with McDonald Investments when the office decided to join Janney.
Clare was named a Top Wealth Advisor Mom by Working Mother Magazine. She has also been recognized by Forbes, in partnership with SHOOK Research, as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor and a Top Women Wealth Advisor. Clare was invited to be one of the speakers at the 2022 Forbes | SHOOK On-The-Road Regional Conference. She spoke on the topic of 'Best Ideas from Top Advisors.'
Clare holds the FINRA Series 7, 9/10 and 66 licenses as well as the State of Ohio licenses on Life, Health and Variable Products. Clare also holds the prestigious Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM( AWMA®) designation from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Clare holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialists® (CEBS®) certification, the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC®), and has met the rigorous standards of the CFP Board to earn her designation as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University. By combining her financial experience and her writing skills, Clare has been a contributing author to the Chillicothe Gazette Business Section.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Clare’s professional memberships include Society for Human Resource Management, S. Central Ohio Human Resources Council and the American Assn. of University Women. Active in the community, Clare is a member of Rotary and New Albany Women’s Network and volunteers at St. Charles Preparatory School. In addition, she belongs to several athletic groups for running & triathletes. Clare and her husband, Joe, keep busy raising their children.

Seth Ash is a Financial Advisor in the Chillicothe Office of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. Seth services individual and institutional clients in all phases of investment strategies, including financial planning, retirement, insurance, education planning, mutual funds, equities, tax-free and taxable bonds, annuities, trust services, stock options, money management, and employer-sponsored retirement plans. Seth focuses on preparing customized financial plans and investment portfolios to best serve his clients and help them achieve their financial goals.
Seth holds the FINRA Series 7, 9/10 and 66 security licenses, as well as Life, Accident & Health Insurance license. Seth has completed the rigorous education, training, and ethical standards of the CFP Board to earn his designation as a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) Professional, the highest designation in the financial planning profession. The CFP designation represents deep knowledge in Risk Management, Investments, Retirement and Employee Benefits, Tax Planning and Management, Estate Planning, and the Financial Planning Process. Seth has also earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation from The American College of Financial Services, the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®) and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designations from the College for Financial Planning, the National Social Security AdvisorSM (NSSA®) designation from the National Social Security Association and the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC®) designation.
Seth graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management. He was recognized as Ross County’s Young Professional of the Year in 2017 for his hard work and dedication to the financial services field, his clients, and the community. He remains dedicated to community involvement by providing his financial experience and leadership skills as a board member for several community organizations, including the Jaycee Public Golf Course, Downtown Chillicothe, and Build Chillicothe.
Seth is a lifelong resident of Chillicothe and appreciates the small-town atmosphere. Outside of work, you'll find him spending time with his fiancé, Caitlin, and their two dogs, Bella and Nala. He enjoys playing golf, doing home renovations and cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals in his spare time.
Tammy joined our team in 2008. Her experience in the financial services industry encompasses more than 30 years. As a Branch Operations Assistant, she is dedicated to building and strengthening our client relationships and providing responsive, personal service to each individual we serve. She holds Series 7, 63 & 66 security licenses, as well as her Life, Accident & Health insurance license.
Tammy lives in Chillicothe with her husband Mark and their two Boston Terriers, Sam & Sophie.
Leanna joined our team in 2024. Leanna helps The Schwemlein Wealth Management Group maintain the high level of service the team provides to its clients in order to exceed expectations. She provides accurate and meaningful answers to our client’s questions and makes sure their needs are always her first priority.
Leanna graduated from Ohio University Chillicothe with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012.
Leanna lives in Chillicothe with her husband Jeff and their two boys, Theo & Lochlan.
Betsy joined our team in 2020. Betsy helps us maintain the high level of service we provide to our clients. Knowledgeable and responsive, she provides timely, accurate and meaningful answers to our clients’ questions and makes sure their needs are always her first priority.
Betsy lives in Chillicothe with her fiancé Nate.

Debra S. Roey joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in November 2006, as Janney Retirement Plan Services (JRPS) Manager. JRPS was founded in 1982 to provide Janney’s Corporate Retirement Plan Clients with support in plan design analysis, proposal procurement and review, investment fiduciary services, technical expertise, and problem resolution.
Debra has over 30 years of experience in the Retirement Plan arena. Prior to joining Janney, she served as Regional Director with Union Central Life Retirement and Investment Services. During her tenure, she received numerous sales awards including qualification for the company’s highest society membership. She also served on several corporate committees involved with Strategic Planning and Product Development.
Debra earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
Guy LeBas is Janney’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist, as well as Head of Fixed Income for Janney Capital Management. As Strategist, he is responsible for providing direction to the Firm’s clients on the macroeconomic, interest rate, and bond market investing climate.
Guy authors bond market periodicals, which provide relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum. With Janney Capital Management, Guy is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s discretionarily managed bond portfolios, which take a client-tailored approach to generating consistent income across interest rate environments.
Guy joined Janney in 2006. Prior to joining Janney, Guy served as Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on $20 billion of bank assets and derivatives.
Guy is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, as well as a regular speaker at financial industry conferences. He received his education from Swarthmore College, holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Mark Luschini is the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the Firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies that align with the best interest, goals, and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the Firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning.
As Chief Investment Strategist, Mark serves as the Janney's investment spokesperson, offering national market commentary and developing asset allocation models and investment strategies. He chairs the investment committee and actively interfaces with both current and prospective clients.
Additionally, Mark directs Janney Capital Management, the Firm’s discretionary investment management division. Under his leadership, Janney Capital Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to more than $4 billion, with nearly $3 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and over $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded solutions and mutual funds. Mark served on the Board of Managers for Janney, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Firm’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan. He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees.
In Janney Capital Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies under its advisory. Mark has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and investment management at seminars and conferences.
His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to the New York Times, USA Today, Financial Times, and Money magazine. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, Fox Business News, and CNN.
He has a BA and MBA from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association
