Dan Honan is a 29 year Board Member, and former President of the Board at The Morrison Center of Scarborough, Maine. The Morrison Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive and individualized support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities across Maine. 25 Years ago, Dan started running one of the first and only night time golf tournaments in Maine. THE SHOT IN THE DARK Golf Tournament is an evening featuring a putting contest, live auction and 7 holes of night time golfing at the Purpoodock Club, one of the premier country clubs in Southern Maine, and interestingly enough, the club where Arnold Palmer won his last golf tournament.

This past Friday, September 7th, marked the 25th Annual SHOT IN THE DARK Tournament, where Dan was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award for Philanthropy from the Maine State Golf Association for 25 years of fundraising services benefiting the Morrison Center. Dan was joined by friends, colleagues, clients, many members of the Morrison Center Staff and community on Friday evening, where the Morrison Center was able to raise money and spread awareness.
