Our Team
Janney’s leadership team and executive committee are composed of respected professionals with extensive industry knowledge, veteran insight, and a shared strategic vision for the future. With many able to draw upon their own backgrounds as advisors, this team and committee understand the demands and rewards of your profession, and they are here to help you succeed.
Primary support comes from your Branch, Complex, and Regional Managers. With years of industry experience, they serve as both mentors and managers, allowing you the freedom to run your own practice while working with you to help it grow.

With over 30 years of experience in Wealth Management, Jeff joined Janney in late 2012 as Complex Manager for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, overseeing the firm’s offices in both Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, Virginia.
His prior management experience includes serving as Branch Manager at Morgan Stanley (Smith Barney) and as Director of Sales for Legg Mason, where he led the merger of the Alexandria, VA, Legg Mason office with Smith Barney. Later in his career, he successfully oversaw the integration of the Smith Barney branch with Morgan Stanley.
Previously, as Janney’s Director of Recruiting and Business Development, Jeff leveraged his leadership experience and Janney’s platform to drive significant growth across the firm. During his tenure, Janney successfully recruited 254 experienced Financial Advisors — a testament to his strategic vision and ability to attract top talent.
In July 2021, Jeff returned to his hometown of Baltimore to lead Janney’s “Old Line Complex,” which includes the Towson, Greenspring, and Hunt Valley offices.
Jeff and his wife, Emily — at the request of their two Golden Retrievers, Tanner and Wilson — recently settled in Jarrettsville. They are proud parents of two daughters: Hannah, a recent McDaniel College graduate who proudly serves in the United States Army, and Ellie, who works full-time for IBM while pursuing her master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University. In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing hockey, cheering for Baltimore sports (Go Ravens!) and the Washington Capitals — and, thanks to Tanner and Wilson, vacuuming daily.

Joining Janney in 2002, Jay welcomed the opportunity to open Janney's first office in Maryland. Since then, the Towson office has grown from 5 financial advisors to nearly 20 professionals and support staff members.
In 2010 Jay was Chairman of Janney's Branch Manager Leadership Council. He earned his degree in Finance from Loyola College and spent 6 years in the National Guard. Jay currently holds his Series 7, 8, 63, and 65 general securities licenses; as well as, his insurance license. His areas of focus include cash management, qualified retirement plans, and tailored recommendations designed to help individuals meet their goals. Jay is also involved in the Maryland & District of Columbia Credit Union Association, Incorporated.
