An active-duty veteran of the U.S. Navy, Jim has served as the local Chairman of the Our Community Salutes - Midlands South Carolina, an organization whose motto is "The First to Say Thank You" recognizing young men and women who enlist in the military directly out of high school. He has also served on the Advisory Board for the U.S. Navy Talent Acquisition Group - Carolinas, while supporting numerous community efforts to benefit veterans and military families. Jimmy, also a veteran of active military service in the Marine Corps, serves as the Vice President for Legislative Affairs for the South Carolina Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). He currently serves as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve, as a Marine for Life Representative.
