Bob is the managing partner of Eight Sixty Partners of Janney Montgomery Scott. He is an Executive Vice-President / Wealth Management and joined Janney in 2013. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, he holds his series 7, 63, 65, and insurance licenses. A 1993 graduate of Boston College, Bob double majored in Finance and Operations & Strategies Management.
In the community, Bob has served as President of Southington Northern Little League, a board member at Shuttle Meadow Country Club, a member of the Town of Southington Zoning Board of Appeals, and a founding member of Southington Travel Baseball Club. He has also coached baseball and football teams, including the 2018 State Championship Southington Post 72 Legion Baseball Team.
Bob was born and raised in Southington and still lives there with his wife and six children. Bob’s current interests include travel and fitness. He is excited that two of his children have recently joined the practice.
Bob has been in the industry for over 30 years and is committed to doing the right thing for the client. Since attending the American University for business, Bob has honed his particular skill set in fixed-income investments. He holds his Series 7 and 63 licenses. He is especially proud of his relationships with his clients, several of which span decades and generations.
In his personal time, he has coached lacrosse for many years, both in an established program in his town and a fledgling program in a neighboring town. He has two children, Ted and Victoria, who have recently graduated college and are embracing their independence. They are enthusiastic about their future endeavors.

Jared lives in Essex with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children, Hunter and Emilia.
Paul is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Paul has been working as a financial advisor since 1999 and has been named to the Forbes 2023 & 2024 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors lists. He focuses on helping clients determine their financial goals and recommending customized investment recommendations to reach them. Able to use a wide array of wealth management strategies, he provides services that include retirement planning, college planning, portfolio development, and asset management.
Paul graduated from Bentley University with a degree in Finance. His hobbies include skiing with his family in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and continuing his quest to learn the game of golf. Paul lives in Pomfret with his wife, Veronica. Their two daughters Abigail, currently pursuing her career in Washington D.C., and Alexandra finishing her studies at Syracuse University.
For over 40 years, Ed has taken a personalized approach to recommending sensible, realistic plans to the team's clients. He holds his series 6, 7, 8, and 63 licenses. A graduate of the University of Denver, Ed received his bachelor's degree in economics and history.
An active member of his community, he has volunteered for the Ron Foley Pancreatic Cancer Foundation since its inception for over 20 years. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, cooking, and gardening. Ed is married to his wife, Carolyn, with three children, Noah, Charlotte, and Nate, and two stepdaughters, Liza and Caitlin.
Rick began his career in the financial services industry in 1973 when he joined Advest. During his time in the research department of this regional brokerage firm, he was mentored by the research director, who taught him that investing is as much an emotional process as it is a fundamental one. This approach, known as "behavioral finance," was uncommon in the 1970s but has since gained widespread recognition. Rick’s early exposure to this discipline has proven invaluable in his role as a wealth management advisor, enabling him to assess how clients respond to the dynamic shifts in both national and global economies.
Rick's academic background includes degrees in accounting and education, and he has spent many years studying financial history and identifying correlations between economic and political events across time.
He resides in Farmington, Connecticut, with his wife of 52 years, Joan. They have two grown children, Jill and Andrew. Rick has been actively involved in his community, serving as Finance Chairman for the Farmington Village Green and Library Association from 1991 to 2001. He also served on the board of the Golf Club of Avon for a decade, including as President in 2001. In addition, Rick is a former District Governor of Unico International and President of Unico of Farmington. Outside of his professional and community commitments, Rick enjoys golf, bowling, and leisurely drives in his 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII, which he has cherished for over 54 years.
Andrew is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional committed to fostering strong, enduring relationships with his clients and supporting them in achieving their financial goals. He works closely with clients to identify both their current and future financial objectives, simplifying their financial lives and helping them build lasting legacies. Before joining Janney, Andrew worked as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors.
A graduate of Northeastern University, Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. He is also fluent in Spanish and holds several industry licenses, including FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, and 66, as well as Life, Health, and Accident Insurance licenses. In 2015, Andrew attained the designation of Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠. He resides in Avon with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Sophia. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys golf, travel, cooking, and reading.
Richard Cardinal began his investment career in 1997 following his work as a branch manager at the Connecticut Bank of Commerce in Stamford, Connecticut. In addition to his Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation, he has his series 7, 63, 65, 3, and 31 licenses along with Connecticut insurance licenses. With more than three decades of experience in banking and finance, Rich is recognized among colleagues for his client-centered professionalism and values the relationships he develops.
He has a B.A. from Southern Connecticut State University and a passion for genealogy and DNA ancestry research. He lives with his wife, daughter, and mini-golden doodle in Simsbury, Connecticut.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Denver in 2017, Noah worked at a small start-up company that manufactured poker chips. In the fall of 2019, Noah joined Transamerica Capital as an Internal Wholesaler on the mutual fund desk until joining the team as an Account Executive in January 2022. Noah holds the Series 7 and 63 licenses and is studying for the CFP certification.
Noah spent the last decade in Colorado, honing his skiing abilities and enjoying the Rocky Mountains to their fullest potential. He has a big Siberian husky named Yogi that he goes everywhere with. You're likely to see the pair going on long walks in the West Hartford Reservoirs on the weekends. Noah loves to cook and considers himself a Michelin-star chef when not in the office. When he’s not cooking or walking Yogi, Noah is an avid golfer and squash player and loves staying active. Noah Currently resides in West Hartford, CT.
Noah supports the team in Financial Planning, Trading, and Investments and looks forward to growing into all areas of the business as he continues to learn.
Sheila leads the team's operations and business development efforts. She graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a BA in Psychology. Sheila has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. Over the past three decades, she has worked at Smith Barney, Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley, and UBS as an AVP in Retirement Plans, a Retirement Plan Consultant, and various senior client services roles supporting financial advisors.
Outside of the office, Sheila enjoys CrossFit, playing golf, and hiking with her husband, Jim, and their dog Finn.
Jennifer has worked with Ned Manuel and Robert Black since 2002, and Ed Blumenthal and Robert Borkowski since 2004. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she holds her Series 7 and 66 licenses and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Jennifer lives in Tolland with her husband, Jon, and three stepsons, Aaron, Adam, and Andrew.
Susan works closely with all members of the team to provide excellent service. Her role requires her to be in daily contact with clients, coordinating trades, addressing specific requests, and resolving issues. She also handles many operational functions including opening new accounts and processing check requests, letters of authority, and IRA documents. Susan has been in the industry for over 40 years and has worked with Jared and Paul since 2001. She resides in Ivoryton with her wonderful cat Izzy. Her daughter Kiersten lives and works in Texas.
Samantha has worked with the team since 2005. She joined the group after earning a BS in Mathematics. She acts as an administrative liaison for clients to provide them with vital aspects of client services, addressing topics such as new accounts, online services, distributions, and general client questions and concerns.
Samantha lives in Plainville, Connecticut, with her son Blake.
Chris Talia joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in October 2024 as a Private Client Associate.
Chris has over 15 years of experience in the Retirement Planning and Wealth Management industry. Prior to joining Janney, initially in 2011, she served as the Director of Client Services with Alera Group in addition to her time with UBS as a Relationship Manager.
During her tenure, she received numerous awards and recognition for implementing new Customer Service Policies, and Team Development Strategies, while maintaining focus on managing high-profile accounts, client retention, team efficiencies, and productivity.
Chris excels at understanding the client’s needs and providing personalized high-quality service.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Endicott College in 2022. Throughout his college years, he gained experience in sports management through internships with the New Britain Bees, Northeastern Club Sports, and the Southington Community YMCA. Post-graduation, Nick decided to pivot towards a career in finance.
This transition led him to join Fidelity Investments as a Customer Relationship Advocate in the summer of 2022. Upon passing his Series 66 exam, Nick advanced to the role of Investment Solutions Representative. After a two-year tenure at Fidelity Investments in Rhode Island, he moved to Capital Wealth Advisors as a Registered PCA in April of 2024. Nick is certified with Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses.
An avid golfer, Nick enjoys playing in Southington and is a fan of baseball and football. He values time spent with friends and family.
He currently resides in Southington, CT.
Olivia has a medical background as a licensed practical nurse. She has worked in holistic, internal medicine, medical spas, and an IV lounge. She has also helped patients at group home facilities and in-home care. Olivia's passion is to help others. When she decided to shift her career to finance, she wanted to continue helping others by working in the wealth management sector. She is currently pursuing her SIE, Series 7, and Series 66.
Olivia enjoys cooking with her Fiancé and daughter. She loves to travel and visit different parts of the world.
Jacob graduated from UCONN with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. During college, he interned for a small insurance agency and decided to start his career in insurance after college. Jacob worked in insurance for a year, until he decided to change paths and move to a career in finance. Jacob has always had an interest in finance. He currently holds his SIE and would like to broaden his knowledge by taking the Series 7 and Series 66.
Jacob enjoys golfing in his free time. He currently resides in Trumbull, Connecticut.
Anthony graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2022 where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management. While attending the University of Rhode Island, Anthony gained a strong foundation of financial literacy and business operation. He interned at the Knights of Columbus and Clarity Sciences where he gained experience in the operational field.
After graduating, Anthony decided to pursue a career in Finance, which led him to join Morgan Stanley as a Client Services Associate in their Wealth Management department. He gained knowledge in client relationship management, Insurance, and financial planning. After two years at Morgan Stanley in Hartford, Connecticut, Anthony joined Janney Montgomery Scott in West Hartford, Connecticut as a Private Client Associate. To further his financial and advisory knowledge, Anthony is pursuing his Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses.
In his free time, Anthony enjoys golfing, weight training, and spending time with his family and friends.
Callia is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Minor in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University. She started her degree at Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia and decided to transfer to a school closer to home. After that switch, she began working with the team in December of 2023.
Callia will be starting her licensing journey with the SIE this summer.
She is a member of the CCSU Women’s Club lacrosse team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She currently resides in Southington, CT.

Emily is responsible for running Janney’s Financial Planning Software. She provides Janney Financial Advisors and Financial Planners with training and guidance on the planning software, as well as assistance creating and presenting the financial plans.
Emily joined Janney in 2018 while enrolled in Temple University’s Financial Planning Program. Prior to Janney, she worked for Leon Levy & Associates and Northwestern Mutual.
Emily graduated from Temple University with a B.S in Financial Planning & Human Resource Management. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Professional and holds the Series 7; Series 66; and Life, Health, Accident & Fixed Annuities Licenses
Guy LeBas is Janney’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist, as well as Head of Fixed Income for Janney Capital Management. As Strategist, he is responsible for providing direction to the Firm’s clients on the macroeconomic, interest rate, and bond market investing climate.
Guy authors bond market periodicals, which provide relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum. With Janney Capital Management, Guy is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s discretionarily managed bond portfolios, which take a client-tailored approach to generating consistent income across interest rate environments.
Guy joined Janney in 2006. Prior to joining Janney, Guy served as Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on $20 billion of bank assets and derivatives.
Guy is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, as well as a regular speaker at financial industry conferences. He received his education from Swarthmore College, holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Laura Medigovich is a Vice President and Senior Financial Planner with Janney Montgomery Scott. Ms. Medigovich, who is based out of Purchase, NY, covers the Firm’s Northern region.
To support Janney’s clients in achieving their financial goals through sound planning, she coaches Janney’s Financial Advisors and their clients through all aspects of financial planning. Her areas of planning knowledge and experience include retirement, insurance, education, business-succession, estate and legacy, and philanthropic.
Ms. Medigovich joined Janney in 2019. Prior to joining the Firm, she was a Vice President, Senior Financial Planner for Wilmington Trust/M&T Bank. There, she was responsible for developing customized wealth-management strategies and financial plans for prominent individuals, families, and business owners. Ms. Medigovich also shared her financial planning experience through a weekly personal finance column in the local Hudson Valley newspaper, the Times-Herald Journal, which she wrote for more than a decade.
Ms. Medigovich has achieved a number of professional certifications, including the Certified Financial Plannerᵀᴹ professional designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. She also earned the Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter designations from The American College and the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the Institute for Certified Bankers.
Other industry-focused programs from which Ms. Medigovich has graduated include the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management at The University of Virginia, and the Cannon Trust School, Cannon Institute, at Pepperdine University.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
Ms. Medigovich is a leader in her region’s finance community. Her leadership roles include serving as a member of the Board and the Director of Advocacy for the Greater Hudson Valley Financial Planning Association.
Mike Halloran serves as an Equity Strategist in Janney’s Investment Strategy Group. Bringing over 20 years of financial service experience to Janney’s established team of professionals, Mike analyzes all asset classes with particular emphasis on equity research.
Prior to Janney, Mike was Vice President of Market Strategy for BPU Investment Management Group, and was responsible for the development of the firm’s global outlook and implementation of numerous investment strategies. His previous experience includes performing equity research for large cap core and growth mutual funds, and working in PNC’s investment banking organization supporting M&A, high yield, private placement, loan syndication, and derivative security transactions. He is also an adjunct finance professor and former aerospace research engineer.
Mike received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
