💥Break the Glass 💥
After years of studying, I'm thrilled to announce that I passed the CFP ®️ exam and am officially a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️!
For those who many are not familiar, achieving the CFP ®️ designation is consider a "big deal" or as my Grandma would tell you it’s a HUGE DEAL. The CFP®️ represents a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in financial services. From studying complex tax codes, sophisticated estate planning, insurance & employee benefit plans, to investment and retirement strategies, the CFP®️ journey is rigorous, but the reward of being able to serve my clients with a fiduciary standard is absolutely worth it.
And that, in and of itself, is the very point. I believe the CFP®️ is a HUGE DEAL because it's simply the right for people on the receiving end of financial advice. CFP's®️ are held to the highest standard, a fiduciary standard - the same standard your doctor and lawyer are held to when giving advice/recommendations. The CFP®️ Board's Code of Ethics & Standards of Conduct requires CFP®️ professionals to uphold the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness & confidentiality. We make a commitment to CFP ®️ board to put our clients' interest first at all times when providing financial advice.
As I embark on this next professional chapter, I'm cognizant that some of you still reading this became clients of mine somewhere along my journey - and to you, I appreciate your continued trust & confidence. My commitment to you in turn is to continue better serve you.
And to those who are connections/friends of mine from somewhere else along the way - I've been quiet here & have not used this platform to talk openly about what I do professionally and how I help people - my door is open & I am happy to have a conversation.
The CFP®️ mark is recognized as the highest standard of excellence for financial planners. It's earned through completion of a rigorous program of coursework covering the major personal financial planning areas:
*Investment planning
*Tax planning
*Retirement savings and income planning
*Risk management and insurance planning
*Estate planning
In addition to passing a 6-hour exam, applying these concepts to real-life client scenarios, I have also met the experience requirement (4,000 hours of financial planning experience) and ethics requirement to use the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ marks.
I am committed to act as a fiduciary, which means I will act in your best interest at all times when providing financial advice - and commit to other high ethical and conduct standards.
As I've said before, I didn't do it to add letters after my name. I've always been a comprehensive advisor, but this further demonstrates my commitment to going above and beyond the industry requirements. Hopefully one-day CFP ®️ or at least the Fiduciary Standard of care will be the industry requirement for anyone giving financial advice and/or managing assets. I'm a forever student of the industry to add the most value and make the biggest impact in the lives of my clients and those they care about!
I'm excited to bring the highest level of knowledge and professionalism to help my clients navigate their financial lives and plan for the future!
Thank you to the Brett Danko Team for helping me climb the mountain and to reach the summit of success. Just like you said the view is amazing! 🌄
