Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Vermont. Prior to joining Janney in 2023, Jon built his financial advisory practice at Merrill Lynch beginning in 1998. For 12 years, he led the Reading, Pennsylvania office before transitioning in 2019 to lead the St. Petersburg, Florida office for 4 years.
Jon’s beacon is the teams’ 5 core values: Care, Passion, Trust, Discipline, and Teamwork. He and his team strive to be their clients’ trusted advisor through all critical stages of their financial lives.
Jon and his wife Brittany are passionate about several non-profit organizations in their community including USF- St. Petersburg, 100 Good Guys – St. Pete, 100 Women Who Care – St. Pete, The Girl Scouts of America, and The Ronald McDonald House. They share their home with three children, Jevin, Ally and Bailey as well as many rescued dogs and cats.
David H. Harth, Financial Advisor, graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. David has been in the financial services industry since 2006 and joined Janney in 2023. He also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, CRPC® designation.
David focuses on the team’s investment portfolio strategies. By understanding clients’ unique situations, David and the team are able to construct appropriate asset allocations strategies, as well as identify and help implement an investment process most appropriate to their needs.
David lives in Catasauqua with his wife, Jacquelyn, and daughters, Madison (Currently attending Villanova University; B.S. Chemistry and Biochemistry) and Julia. David is the Vice President of the Catasauqua Youth Soccer Association and the head coach for the Catasauqua girls varsity high school soccer team.
Jonathan M. Swavely, Financial Advisor, graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Business Finance. While at Maine, Jon was a four-year letter winner playing Division I ice hockey. Jon started in the financial industry in 2014 and joined Janney in 2023. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Jon focuses on providing wealth management advice and guidance. By helping clients analyze their current situation and understanding their future goals and objectives, Jon assists in developing, implementing, and reviewing a financial strategy that is specific to each client.
Jon is a native of Reading, PA and he lives in the Lehigh Valley area with his wife, Kaylee, daughter, Camryn, son, Baylor, and dog Cash. Jon is active in the community and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Susan LoBello, Registered Private Client Associate, began her financial services career in 1994 and spent 14 years in New York City where she provided client and trade support for a team of portfolio managers. Susan continued to work in the industry in Harrisburg, PA. In 2020, Susan joined the Decker, Harth & Swavely team in Allentown.
Susan’s primary focus is client service and satisfaction. She helps set up and maintain accounts, provides clients with online access and support, responds to incoming calls and service requests and is proactive in managing client interests. Susan’s experience and attitude helps her provide white glove service for all clients.
Susan is a native New Yorker and attended Brooklyn College where she studied Business Administration. She currently resides in the Emmaus area with her husband Vincenzo.
Karolina V. Dunn joined the team as a Private Client Associate in 2023. She was born and raised in the Czech Republic and found her way to the University of Florida where she played on the golf team for the top ranked Gators. Her shining achievement was winning the SEC Team Championship in 2017 and then moved onto play the LPGA Epson tour for 5 years as a professional. Karolina’s primary focus as a Registered Private Client Associate is servicing client and team needs on daily basis.
Karolina is active with the local chapter of the Ladies Executive Golf Society (L.E.G.S.) and has a love for all animals. Karolina and her husband DJ live in the Tampa, Florida area.

Guy LeBas is Janney’s Chief Fixed Income Strategist, as well as Head of Fixed Income for Janney Capital Management. As Strategist, he is responsible for providing direction to the Firm’s clients on the macroeconomic, interest rate, and bond market investing climate.
Guy authors bond market periodicals, which provide relative value recommendations across the fixed income spectrum. With Janney Capital Management, Guy is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s discretionarily managed bond portfolios, which take a client-tailored approach to generating consistent income across interest rate environments.
Guy joined Janney in 2006. Prior to joining Janney, Guy served as Interest Rate Risk Manager for U.S. Trust’s bank asset and liability portfolios, a role in which he oversaw risk and return on $20 billion of bank assets and derivatives.
Guy is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News, as well as a regular speaker at financial industry conferences. He received his education from Swarthmore College, holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Mark Luschini is the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the Firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies that align with the best interest, goals, and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the Firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning.
As Chief Investment Strategist, Mark serves as the Janney's investment spokesperson, offering national market commentary and developing asset allocation models and investment strategies. He chairs the investment committee and actively interfaces with both current and prospective clients.
Additionally, Mark directs Janney Capital Management, the Firm’s discretionary investment management division. Under his leadership, Janney Capital Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to more than $4 billion, with nearly $3 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and over $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded solutions and mutual funds. Mark served on the Board of Managers for Janney, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Firm’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan. He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees.
In Janney Capital Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies under its advisory. Mark has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and investment management at seminars and conferences.
His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to the New York Times, USA Today, Financial Times, and Money magazine. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, Fox Business News, and CNN.
He has a BA and MBA from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association
Martin Schamis is responsible for the strategic direction of the Wealth Planning Team, supporting more than 850 Financial Advisors who advise Janney’s private retail client base.
Martin joined Janney from the Vanguard Group where he spent the majority of his 11-year tenure as Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Advice Services. Prior to Vanguard, Martin worked as a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley. Martin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Art from the University of Delaware and received an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University.
Shurdonna serves as Vice President and the Director of Janney's High Net Worth Consulting Group. She provides comprehensive solutions designed to effectively address complex issues to help high net worth individuals and families, business owners, corporate executives, professional athletes, and others meet their goals and objectives.
Most recently, Shurdonna served as Assistant Vice President & Senior Financial Planner, supporting the advanced financial planning efforts for the Firm's Mid-Atlantic region. She also supported Janney’s clients in achieving their financial goals, provided subject matter expertise, and coached Janney's Financial Advisors and their clients through all aspects of financial planning. Together, they formulate comprehensive financial plans outlining estate, trust, and wealth transfer planning, asset protection, retirement, income tax, and charitable planning strategies.
Shurdonna has more than 15 years of progressive experience in the investment management industry. Previously, Shurdonna was a Financial Advisor in Vanguard Personal Advisor Services®, where she provided investment guidance and financial planning services to clients with significant wealth. Shurdonna also served in Vanguard’s Education Savings Group, focusing on 529 plans and college-savings strategies. While at Vanguard, Shurdonna had the opportunity to rotate through several of the firm's departments, including Retirement Plan Services, International, and Retail Investor Group, as part of its Accelerated Leadership Development Program.
Shurdonna earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM designation and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Temple University Beasley School of Law and has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Morgan State University Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management.
Shurdonna is an active leader in her region's nonprofit community. She is a board member and a member of the finance, DEI, and strategic planning committees of Philadelphia's Magic Gardens mosaic art environment. She’s also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, an international service organization.
