About William
Bill Howell joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC via the successful merger with Parker/Hunter Incorporated. He is supported by a culture that places a high value on client service and increasing client wealth. With nearly 40 years of investment experience, Bill is able to offer his clients advice on financial, retirement, insurance and education planning, mutual funds, equities, tax-free and taxable bonds, annuities, stock options, and portfolio management. With Janney, he is provided with an outstanding array of investment tools aimed at helping him analyze a client’s portfolio holdings and track market trends. Bill is a frequent guest on local television and radio programs where he discusses personal finance and market conditions.

A graduate of Waynesburg University, Bill holds a bachelor of science degree in Political Science. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) designation and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously spent time at Salem International University and Waynesburg University working in admissions and the financial offices.

In his community, Bill is an active member and officer of his local church and other regional church organizations.

Married for over 30 years, Bill and his wife have a daughter and son. He is an avid cook and barbecue pit master. Bill is also a toy train collector.

About Derek
For over 30 years Derek has served as a Financial Consultant, providing his clients with the highest level of service while helping them to solve their investment needs and meet their financial goals. Over the course of his career, Derek has developed and maintained a client service philosophy that focuses on being the very best in the industry. Each of his clients is extremely valued and attentive personal attention is paid to each of their financial needs. His practice includes offering his clients financial, retirement, insurance and education planning; mutual funds, equities, tax-free and taxable bonds, annuities and stock options. Derek also specializes in portfolio management.

Derek’s accomplished career began in 1986 in the financial services industry. He was attracted to Janney Montgomery Scott because of the emphasis on high level client service throughout the portfolio management and financial planning process. Prior to joining Janney, he spent 18 years as a Financial Consultant for Parker/Hunter Incorporated before the firm merged with Janney in 2005. Derek attended the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that he earned a bachelors degree as a mechanical engineer at West Virginia University.

Derek is the father of three children, a grandfather of two, and a husband of 34 years, where he and his family reside in West Virginia. He remains active in his church and choir, along with being an avid mountain biker, hunter, and maintains a commitment to exercise.

About Christin

Christin joined Janney Montgomery Scott in 2020 at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. In 2022, she joined the Howell/Smith Group in Marietta, OH. She reviews and maintains client portfolios, assists clients with financial planning and retirement income needs, and communicates directly with clients on investment matters. She also collaborates on investment strategies and portfolio management. Christin is able to offer her clients advice on financial, retirement, insurance and education planning, mutual funds, equities, tax-free and taxable bonds, annuities, stock options, and portfolio management.


A graduate of Covenant College, Christin holds a bachelor of arts degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. She currently holds the Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 66, and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor SM designations.


Christin is an active member and Children's Sunday School teacher at her local church.


She and her husband, Stephen, enjoy training for half marathons and spending time outdoors with their pets.

Susannah processes account opening and asset gathering for new clients and schedules appointments.


She is currently pursuing her Series 7 designation.


In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and is an active member in the community.

Dan Wantrobski, CMT®

About Dan

Dan Wantrobski is Director of Research at Janney Montgomery Scott and has over 20 years of industry experience as a technical analyst and strategist.

 

Mr. Wantrobski spent the first 10 years of his career at Paine Webber and UBS, where he developed his knowledge as a technician and macro strategist following the equity, fixed income, commodity, and currency markets. He has also spent time at Fox Pitt Kelton, Bedford Quantitative, and New Albion Partners. From 2008 to 2016, Mr. Wantrobski served as Janney’s technical strategist.

 

Mr. Wantrobski regularly comments in the media on key issues arising in the industry, with appearances in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, The Philadelphia Inquirer, CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg TV. He is also a frequent speaker at financial industry conferences, including the Ernst & Young Annual Firm Conference where he has served as a guest speaker for the last five years.

 

Mr. Wantrobski is a Chartered Market Technician ® (CMT) and attended Villanova University, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Finance.

 

He currently resides in Moorestown, NJ where he volunteers as a firefighter with Relief Engine Co. 312.

About Greg

Greg Drahuschak joined Janney in 1991. He has over 45 years of economic experience and provides daily, weekly, and monthly market commentary, with a particular focus on the equity market, to Janney and our clients.

 

Prior to joining Janney, he worked as a retail broker with—and eventually transitioned into the research departments of—Butcher & Singer and Wheat First Securities. He was also an instructor at Robert Morris College and the University of Pittsburgh.

 

Greg has written articles for several newspapers and websites, and has been the featured financial professional on many live radio broadcasts. 

 

He earned his B.A. in fine arts from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as certificates from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and from the New York Institute of Finance.

About Jay

Jay Guyer serves as Vice President, Senior Financial Planner in Janney Montgomery Scott’s Wealth Planning Department. He focuses on supporting the advanced financial planning efforts for the Firm’s Western region. In his role, Mr. Guyer serves as a resource for Financial Advisors working with complex client-planning needs to assist clients with meeting their goals and objectives. Mr. Guyer is based in Janney’s Pittsburgh, PA office.

 

Mr. Guyer has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined Janney from M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust, where he served as a Senior Financial Planner supporting their Western Pennsylvania and New York branches. Prior to M&T Bank, he spent time as the Director of Financial Planning with Omega Bank in State College, PA. He also served as a Financial Planner with The Vanguard Group.

 

Mr. Guyer is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). He also holds his Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses and earned the Pennsylvania Life, Accident & Health, Fixed and Variable Annuity licenses. Mr. Guyer received his JD and LLM in Tax Law from Taft Law School and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Juniata College.

About Mark

Mark Luschini is the Chief Investment Strategist for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, leading the Investment Strategy Group. In that capacity Mark is responsible for establishing the Firm’s broad outlook relating to conditions in the capital markets and the economy and to develop investment strategies that align with the best interest, goals, and objectives of individual and institutional clients. He also establishes the Firm’s asset allocation models used for portfolio construction and financial planning.

 

As Chief Investment Strategist, Mark serves as the Janney's investment spokesperson, offering national market commentary and developing asset allocation models and investment strategies. He chairs the investment committee and actively interfaces with both current and prospective clients.

 

Additionally, Mark directs Janney Capital Management, the Firm’s discretionary investment management division. Under his leadership, Janney Capital Management has delivered competitive investment results across multiple strategies. The total assets under management has grown to more than $4 billion, with nearly $3 billion in traditional equity and fixed income assets, and over $1 billion in various strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies utilizing exchange-traded solutions and mutual funds. Mark served on the Board of Managers for Janney, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Firm’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan. He is a member of the Janney Wealth Management Department’s Mutual Fund and Alternative Investment Committees.

 

In Janney Capital Management, Mark chairs the Investment Committee which sets asset class and sector policy and directly participates in managing the equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies under its advisory. Mark has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He utilizes that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and investment management at seminars and conferences.

 

His comments and written articles have been circulated in numerous publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to the New York Times, USA Today, Financial Times, and Money magazine. He has appeared in various media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, Fox Business News, and CNN.

 

He has a BA and MBA from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association

About Mike

Mike Halloran serves as an Equity Strategist in Janney’s Investment Strategy Group. Bringing over 20 years of financial service experience to Janney’s established team of professionals, Mike analyzes all asset classes with particular emphasis on equity research.

 

Prior to Janney, Mike was Vice President of Market Strategy for BPU Investment Management Group, and was responsible for the development of the firm’s global outlook and implementation of numerous investment strategies. His previous experience includes performing equity research for large cap core and growth mutual funds, and working in PNC’s investment banking organization supporting M&A, high yield, private placement, loan syndication, and derivative security transactions. He is also an adjunct finance professor and former aerospace research engineer.

 

Mike received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
