On September 8th Pathways SOS held their Second Annual Dragon Boat Festival benefiting women’s breast cancer. Dragon boat racing is a unique competitive sport that began as an ancient Chinese ritual where participants paddled in synchronized rhythm believing that racing symbolized their struggle with nature and the fight against deadly enemies. Pathways SOS organized the event to allow survivors to share their experiences and heal. The event was a blast! Our team name was “No Dragon us Down” and the entire team wore Janney t-shirts. Everyone who participated donated money to Pathways SOS and had a great time. We look forward to supporting the event again in the future!
