Multigenerational Planning

Every family has different goals, needs and challenges. Our experience shows us that most family goals do not begin and end within one generation. There are values, cultures, experiences, and relationships that need to be effectively transferred through multiple generations of a family in order for specific goals to be reached.

Every family has different goals, needs and challenges.  Our experience shows us that most family goals do not begin and end within one generation.  There are values, cultures, experiences, and relationships that need to be effectively transferred through multiple generations of a family in order for specific goals to be reached.  We firmly believe in the power of family meetings and we use the financial plan as the primary tool to help us navigate the path that a family creates.

When a family decides they want to explore a working relationship with us, we immediately immerse them in our process, which begins with a financial plan.  Once completed, we use the financial plan as the cornerstone of the advice we provide.  Our team collaborates with families to review each financial plan on a yearly basis to reflect on changes in lifestyle, opportunities, challenges, and even changes in goals.  We routinely facilitate family meetings to ensure that multiple generations are involved in the planning process.  It is not uncommon for us to reconstruct a plan every few years.  We believe that multi-generational planning is an absolute necessity to ensure not just the successful transfer of assets, but also the crucial transfer of values and identity through generations.
