When we joined @Janney last November, we were the first advisers the firm had placed in North Texas.
No office yet. No Texas infrastructure. Just a team that believed this market deserved the kind of long-term, relationship-first commitment a firm willing to make a 10-year bet would bring.
This week, that bet went public.
Janney is opening a Preston Center office this summer, with plans to manage north of $1 billion in North Texas within the next two to three years.
None of that surprises me.
Dallas grew its millionaire population 85% over the last decade. Goldman Sachs is building here. UBS is opening a wealth advisory hub here. Morgan Stanley is expanding here.
DFW isn't becoming a financial center. It already is one.
The families building wealth here aren't waiting for institutions to notice North Texas. They have been navigating complex financial decisions for years. What they need is an adviser committed to this market for the long term.
