Our Team
With more than four decades in wealth management, Jim Winkler brings the kind of seasoned perspective that only comes from navigating multiple market cycles, economic shifts, and thousands of client conversations about what truly matters.
Jim co-founded West Haven Private Wealth at Janney where he focuses on crafting investment strategies that reflect each client's unique goals, risk tolerance, and life circumstances. His approach is grounded in experience but never stuck in the past. He asks the right questions and translates complex market dynamics into straightforward guidance clients can act on with confidence.
A 1973 graduate of the University of North Texas, Jim holds Series 3, 7, and 63 securities licenses as well as the Texas Group I life/health insurance license. He's also shared his financial insights beyond the office as the former host of the local radio show Financial Place and past contributor to Avid Golfer magazine, where he made financial concepts accessible to audiences who appreciated his clear, no-nonsense style.
Outside of work, you'll find Jim on the golf course, exploring new destinations, or relaxing at his little slice of heaven on the Brazos River. He and his wife, Kay, are proud parents to three adult children and even prouder grandparents to six young grandkids who keep life interesting and full.
Lauren Housh has spent over two decades helping clients build financial clarity and confidence—not through one-size-fits-all strategies, but through deeply personalized partnerships that honor each person's unique story and support their family goals.
Since earning her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2011, Lauren has specialized in comprehensive wealth planning, bringing both sophisticated expertise and genuine warmth to conversations about what matters most. She co-founded West Haven Private Wealth at Janney, drawn to a team that prioritizes meaningful relationships and puts people first.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Lauren holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses as well as Texas Group I life/health insurance licenses. But her most meaningful credential is the trust she's earned by creating supportive spaces where clients feel comfortable sharing their real hopes, concerns, and questions. No jargon, no runaround, just honest guidance translated into plain language.
Beyond the office, Lauren serves on the board of the Dallas Historical Society. She is a proud and active alumna of Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and a board alum of the Texas Women’s Foundation, championing financial security and educational opportunities for women and girls. When she's not working, you'll find Lauren tending her gardens or exploring new places with her husband, Kevin, and son, Will.
