Area financial advisor Kevin J. Smith, Executive Vice President – Wealth Management with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC (“Janney”), one of the nation’s largest regional full-service financial services firms, has been named to the Financial Times 2020 list of Top 400 Financial Advisors nationwide. This recognition comes on the heels of being named by Forbes in February as one of the best wealth advisors in Pennsylvania. “Kevin has an unwavering focus on helping clients achieve their goals. This prestigious recognition is testament to his ability to create and nurture these relationships built on superior financial advice and guidance,” said Jerry Lombard, President of the firm’s Private Client Group. “Kevin represents the best of our industry. We are proud, and honored, to have him as part of the Janney team. Congratulations to Kevin for receiving this prestigious recognition.”
The Financial Times 2020 list of Top 400 Financial Advisors recognizes the top financial advisors at national, independent, regional, and bank broker-dealers from across the U.S. The formula used by the Financial Times to select the top 400 advisors is based on several factors including assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, and online accessibility. In addition, to be considered for the FT 400 list, advisors must have a minimum of 10 years of experience and at least $300 million in assets under management.
“I am honored and humbled to have been named by the Financial Times as one of the top 400 financial advisors in the country,” stated Smith. “Given the current pandemic, I believe we all have a newfound appreciation of what true wealth is all about. In times of crisis, it’s natural to turn to family for comfort and support. I consider my clients to be an extension of my family, and words can never properly convey my heartfelt love and appreciation. My clients know that I am always here for them. Whether they realize it or not, it gives me considerable comfort to know that they are always there for me. I consider this their honor, not mine. No clients are more deserving.”
