Getting Started with Our 3 Step Process

We understand the reason you are here is different than the person before you. Whatever your situation may be, we work hard to create a comfortable environment whereby clients are heavily informed prior to making any financial decisions. We have a formalized three-step process that in no way feels formal. Over the course of our process, plan to meet two to three times for an hour each meeting. Step 1: DISCOVERY – Getting to Know Each Other Step 2: FINANCIAL PLAN - Presentation Step 3: IMPLEMENT – We Want to be Your Advisor for Life After investment decisions are made and we establish a trusting working relationship, we are available at any time and can be contacted via work phone and email. Several times a year we hold Market Update conference calls and meetings for groups of clients. Throughout the year we schedule client appreciation events and hold regular review in-person review meetings. Our women clients also get a chance to have their own unique events which provide times to address important issues to them.

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1: DISCOVERY – Getting to Know Each Other

  • We ask what is on your mind financially
  • What are your goals? Income Needs? Timeline? How do you feel about market risk?
  • Most importantly we listen
  • Then we share how we work with you
  • We’ll ask you to complete a financial planning questionnaire and bring in statements from social security, pensions, 401(k)s, 403(b)s, IRAs, deferred and executive compensation, insurance, and other investments you may own

Step 2: FINANCIAL PLAN - Presentation

We’ve done the analysis and created your financial plan using the information gathered and discussed at our first meeting.

Your long-term plan will show:

  • How much you can retire on based on your assets
  • Your withdrawal rate
  • Estimated yearly cash flows and taxes
  • What works well and what does not
  • Adjustments that may need to be made
  • Janney’s Rollover Considerations Guide
  • Morningstar Snapshot showing a sample asset allocation based on our conversations
  • A list of path forward items

Step 3: IMPLEMENT – We Want to be Your Advisor for Life

  • We address any outstanding path forward items from the previous meeting and answer questions you may have
  • Make investment recommendations
  • Open new accounts
  • Prepare the appropriate paperwork to transfer accounts or invest your assets
  • Review and manage your investments and communicate regularly about your financial situation and accounts.
  • Strive to anticipate changes in the market and try to minimize any large movements which may affect our long-term retirement goals
  • As your situation changes, we go back through your plan and make adjustments as needed

After investment decisions are made and we establish a trusting working relationship, we are available at any time and can be contacted via work phone and email. Several times a year we hold Market Update conference calls and meetings for groups of clients. Throughout the year we schedule client appreciation events and hold regular review in-person review meetings. Our women clients also get a chance to have their own unique events which provide times to address important issues to them.
