Quarterly Review – July 2026
As another quarter comes to a close, it feels like the market has once again reminded us why investing can be both exciting and exhausting. This quarter delivered an Iran war, a Federal Reserve pivot, a Supreme Court battle, and a tech selloff. Yet, by quarter-end, the market was once again knocking on the door of new highs. It is another reminder that while headlines may drive short-term emotions, they rarely determine long-term investment success.
On the fixed income side, our emphasis on short and ultra-short duration bonds over the past eighteen months has continued to serve clients well. Interest rates have remained volatile, but keeping duration shorter has provided flexibility while still allowing investors to earn attractive levels of income. We believe that remains a prudent approach until there is greater clarity on the direction of interest rates.
If there is one lesson from this quarter, it is that the market has an incredible ability to look past today's headlines and focus on tomorrow's opportunities. Trying to predict every twist and turn has never been our objective. Building diversified portfolios, managing risk thoughtfully, and staying committed to long-term goals continues to be our game plan.
As always, thank you for the trust you place in our team. We appreciate the opportunity to help guide you through changing markets, and we look forward to speaking with many of you over the coming months.
